Today sees the official start of the European Commission (EC) funded project ATHENA - Access to cultural heritage networks across Europe.
Margaret Birtley, CEO of the Collections Council of Australia, visted Collections Trust today and gave us a short presentation about the work of the Council.
Nick Poole, CEO of Collections Trust was in Zagreb in Croatia today at the invitation of the Museum Documentation Centre. While there he is giving a presentation on: The UK Experience of Taking Culture Online.

Europe’s digital library, museum and archive, Europeana, was launched to the public today. It attracted so much interest that it website was swamped within the first few hours.
The EuropeanaLocal project began in June. This month sees the start of an important aspect of its work - a survey of metadata and terminology used by cultural organisation in Europe.
